Hapo chini ni mswada wa kitabu kama jina linavyoonyesha. Kwa yeyote atakaesoma hata kama ni sura moja ataweza kujua siasa za Tanzania zinavyoendeshwa. Ni kazi ambayo kwa uchache imechukua takriban miaka 20 na baadhi ya sura zimetoka katika mada ambazo zilipata kuwasilishwa katika mikutano na makongamano ndani na nje ya Tanzania. Kazi hii kwa ukamilifu wake ilikamilishwa wakati mwandishi alipokuwa Zentrum Moderner Orient (ZMO), Berlin Ujerumani kama mtafiti mualikwa mwaka wa 2011. Wenyeji wake walimuomba kwa kipindi atakachokuwa hapo ZMO awaandikie na awaachie kazi mojawapo katika kazi zake. Mswada huu upo katika maktaba ya ZMO kwa mapitio kwa watafiti wanaofanya utafiti kuhusu historia na siasa Afrika na makhsusi wale wanaofanya utafiti kuhusu Tanzania.
